Thunderbirds
The Thunderbirds continue to represent all Airmen across the globe. The Team is made up of over 140 personnel. The primary Thunderbird mission is to represent the Pride, Precision and Professionalism all Airmen demonstrate. From the ground show to the breathtaking aerial maneuvers, the Thunderbirds continue to represent America's Airmen. The 2010 team is made up of 12 Officers and over 120 Enlisted Air Force members, coming together from over 30 career fields to perform the Thunderbird mission.
The Thunderbirds fly 8 General Dynamics F-16 Talons, commonly known as the Fighting Falcon. Six of these supersonic jets will fly during the show, with 4 of the aircraft performing maneuvers together most of the time and the two opposing solos performing aggressive, high-speed maneuvers demonstrating the incredible capabilities of this supersonic fighter jet.
