FAQ
When will the lots be available for parking?
Both lots will be available for parking on Saturday and Sunday morning at 9:00 am. Friday night parking will be at airport only at the VIP parking area off of Airport Rd. There is NO offsite parking for Friday night! The lots will close at 6:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday or when the last car is out.
Will there be transportation from/to the offsite parking lots and the airport?
Yes! We have contracted shuttle buses to transport people between the offsite lots and the airport Columbia Gate. The Columbia Gate is on the far West end of the crowd area. We hope to have 3 buses at each location shuttling people.
What is the price?
Same price both lots. We are charging $2.00 per person, round trip, for the shuttle bus. Kids 5 and under are free. The parking will be free. The We are trying to hold our prices down even though our costs have gone up dramatically.
What if I only want to go one way?
We collect the money when exiting the bus at the West End Gate (Columbia Gate) and assume that those that rode the bus TO the even will want to ride the bus BACK to the lot. We don't collect any money at the parking lots. We schedule the bus and manpower on this presumption so if you only travel one way you still pay the minimum $2. Thats still a deal!
What if I want to leave early? How do I get back to my car?
If you want to leave early you just go back to the Columbia gate where you exited the bus and take a bus back to your selected parking lot.
Where can I buy tickets to the airshow if I park at offsite parking?
If you park at Offsite Parking you can purchase tickets for both the shuttle bus and the Air Show (if you don't have them already) at the Columbia Gate when you get off the shuttle bus. The shuttle bus is $2/person (age 6 and up) and the adult general admission price is $15 and child price is $10.
Is there handicapped parking at the offsite parking?
No... We have handicapped parking at the airport terminal. Follow the signs on Airport Drive.,
Can I take a stroller, chairs, or coolers with food or beverages on the shuttle?
Yes, Yes, and No! Strollers and chairs are okay to take on the bus with your family. Coolers with food or beverages are not permitted on the airport grounds so why bring them on the bus. Empty coolers are okay. If people show up at the gate with coolers they will not be permitted to enter with them if they have food or beverages in them. They will have to either bring them back to the parking lot or leave them with the gate attendant (probably in the sun) for pickup later. Baby food and small quantities of water for personal use will be allowed to enter. Free water on the airport grounds will be very limited. Nobody at ANY admission gate will be allowed to bring in food or beverages. Health codes prohibit us from having temporary water supplies onsite at the airport.
