One of many of the local non-profit organizations that participate and benefit from proceeds generated by Southern Wisconsin AirFest, is the Wisconsin Aviation Academy(WAA). WAA's mission is providing aviation education, career exploration, academic support, and flight training to Southern Wisconsin youth at no cost. To this end, the “core” program offers aviation activities to area middle and high school students. Our goal is to introduce as many students as possible to the exciting world of aviation. The academy is located at 1716 W. Airport Road in the terminal building at Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport in Rock County.

WAA currently has scholarshiped openings for area high school students grades 10-11 and 16 years old in our formal Flight Training program.  Those interested should call to receive an application or email: g_conway5@yahoo.com.
